Maybe I'm just being callous, but I can't help but think society would be better off without a large majority of the benefit-claiming, council estate cases in the U.K.
It sometimes feels that, in any other country in the world, these people would have starved on the streets before now - yet here in this country we have to pay a percentage of our earnings (which we work hard for) to keep them in the style they have become accustomed to.
I read today of a notorious council estate where the youths had hung a dog from the lamp-post and set it on fire. In fact not so long ago there was another article with the very same residents (complete with a photograph of a bunch of overweight, hoop-earring proles scowling with their arms crossed like some kind of Jeremy Kyle audience) complaining about the council's long-overdue decision to demolish this estate and re-house them.
I might add that they were to be re-housed at no cost to themselves!
honest people are probably the minority...
I'm sure there's some people who, for whatever reason, genuinely require benefits or disability payments and can't work. Perhaps there are also those who find themselves taking council homes because it's the only choice they have.
I feel truly sorry for these decent and honest people who are probably in the minority, especially if they have to share their lives with this ever-increasing underclass of scum.

The more I look at your post, the more I believe it is a wind up.
This is not a confession, it is almost a statement of pride!
She goes on the state "I don't even know who the kids' fathers are but who cares?"
Well, 'A single mum', I am sure these poor children will care who their fathers are, if not now, certainly when they are older. You think your lifestyle offers you financial security and maybe it does, but it is no substitute for the security of a loving, stable home life.
Don't call me a twerp, then. I took the trouble to write a full length gripe and it's irritating to be insulted by 'one line' posters. Plus, I thought a lot of the points I made were quite valid. Why not have a go at writing one yourself? - It takes a bit of time and effort but it's more rewarding than firing off one-liners. And I DO know about being diabetic - have been there myself.
Yes, I will be going. Just as soon as you learn how to spell. So, it could be a long while yet. Still, gives us all a laugh.
