EURO 2020 survival guide when you don't like football

Look, before we go any further I should probably say this: I don't like football and I won't be watching Euro 2020.

But I can't pretend it isn't happening and I know very well it means an awful lot to millions of people.

Not really a gripe, but the timing isn't great for this event as we're not out of the woods yet with Covid.  The additional drunkenness and lack of social distancing might well make the numbers soar again.

On the plus side, we know where they'll be - in the pubs standing shouting in front of blaring TV screens, so at least we'll know how to avoid them.

Can fully understand that it means a lot to some people though, guess the rest of us will just have to suck it up.  Got used to staying at home anyway and it's only 4 weeks so still plenty of summer left to enjoy.

Why is it Euro 2020 btw?
