BOY RACERS - I'm really sick and tired of the so-called "boy racers" with various types of customised cars, but all with loud exhausts, who just seem to roar around the local streets endangering other road users and pedestrians.
Why do these louts feel the need to heavily modify their cars and treat the streets like Silverstone anyway? Its not cool and it doesnt impress anyone, except possibly the other boy racers.
Sure, everyone needs a bit of a thrill now and again. I used to take my motorbikes to the local race track to let off steam, but these morons seem afraid to leave the safety of their council estate. Perhaps they are afraid they might get lost or something (hey what a good idea!).
The Police aren't interested (as usual), and I know of several residents who are planning to take some sort of vigilante action and severely damage the cars of the worst offenders.
People around here are simply fed up
I don't condone this, but I can certainly understand their frustration when nothing else can be done. People around here are simply fed up with these boy racers, and unless something is done soon someone is likely to get hurt.
So what is a boy racer anyway?

I have no problem with people doing their cars up - as I said - their choice to spend their time and money doing what they want to do. It's when it seriously affects me that p!sses me off.
Crawl back under your stone @rsehole
so i passed all my gcses (that's equivalent of o level) and AS and A2 levels, iv also got an NVQ LVL3 which equates to a further two A2 levels..... Guess what..... I love modified cars, and the only accidents i have ever been involved with was with a 70 year old lady with 96 years no claims.... (that's a lie by the way she was driving a brand new car as she wrote the last one off) and she wrote the new one off too..... by falling asleep at the wheel at 930am and not maintaining lane discipline, i lost money on that first car, and got cheated out of many things due to it, and nearly lost my job. and in the last month my girlfriend has been crashed into twice by old people forgetting to put the handbrake on, looks like it just has to be accepted that old people are just as dangerous.
and in regard to the article vigilante action..... going after a persons car is the lowest of the low, im not a violent person but if i found out someone had been after my car and i could prove it was said person i would take them to the law so hard and make sure they didn't do it again, stop complain and be glad your alive, i have lost people who never complained and i see forums like this and think what a waste of space, why are these peoplr here and not the people ive lost that deserved a chance in life.
Totally useless members of society who have nothing better to do with theior time than roar aorund in the small hours of the morning waking up respectable people who do actually have a job to go to in the morning.
GET a life you MORONS
The cars should be confiscated and crushed, if not in 100% roadworthy condition, and most of them aren't when they have been modified. Those in decent condition, and that would be the minority, should be sold at public auction and the funds paid into a road accident fund to help the victims of uninsured drivers.
I would stop short of saying that they should be crushed with the occupants inside, but the thought has crossed my mind.
What is the difference between a Renault Clio and a porcupine? The porcupine's prick are on the outside.
