Frustrated trucker swerves his lorry at migrants near Calais

A frustrated Hungarian truck driver has filmed himself swerving into a stream of migrants outside Calais as they run off the road in terror.

The video, which is more than 14 minutes long, shows the view from the driver's front window as he swerves towards a group of men walking along the three lane carriageway.

More than 3,000 comments have been left on the YouTube video.

On the one hand this is a reckless thing to do and people could have been injured or lost their lives, but on the other hand these truck drivers are in a difficult situation as well

Night after night, endless delays due to security checks and the risk of being caught with migrants who have managed to hide themselves away on their lorry.  These guys are just trying to make a living and they're under a lot of pressure at the moment.

I'm not defending the drivers actions, but I can understand where they came from - perhaps a serious lapse in judgement when coming face to face with those putting his livelihood at risk.
