China passes new controversial Hong Kong security law

The UK, EU and Nato have expressed concern and anger after China passed a controversial security law giving it new powers over Hong Kong.

President Xi Jinping signed the law and it will be placed in Hong Kong's mini-constitution, criminalising sedition and effectively curtailing protests.

This is a very, very sad day indeed for democracy, freedom of speech and of course for the people of Hong Kong as China passes it's new controversial security law.

It is interesting that the country that gave the world Covid 19 has begun to throw it's weight around against countries such as Hong Kong, India and has even threatened the UK over Huawei.

Now is the time to stand up to this bully.  Now is the time to Boycott Chinese products, services and apps.  I only hope our government has the courage to kick Huawei out as it quite rightly should!

Boris Johnson has the perfect opportunity here, but here's what he says:

"Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was "deeply concerned" about the law, but added he would not be drawn into "sinophobia" over other issues, such as the decision to allow Huawei equipment to be used in Britain's 5G mobile data network."

It's not "Sinophobia" you stupid man, it's about having the courage to stand up to an agressor.
