TalkTalk - always left waiting on hold

TalkTalk is the swift route to the funny farm.  When I joined I was assured that the changeover from my previous supplier would be easy - "You've joined the big boys now" - nothing could be further from the truth.

Endless waiting in phone queues only to be told something completely different from a previous department.  Each department is an hermeticallly sealed unit which has no connection with any other.  I spoke to a supervisor for half an hour about the broadband connection delay only to be rung later the same afternoon by another TalkTalk staff member to be told I needed a MAC code which had never been mentioned in the earlier conversation and which I had been informed by a sales supervisor when I rang to sign up would not be necessary as I was transferring from a sister company.

Had I known that I would spend hours waiting on the phone and being driven crazy by conflicting information I would not have ever considered TalkTalk which prints on the envelope of your first bill "Relax, this bill's from the phone company voted the Best Value for Money" - relaxing is some thing you can never do with this company whose modus operandi should be investigated by the Ombudsman.

I just wish I had read the comments on this site before I signed up for 18 months of frustration.
