I've just been trying to top up my mobile phone as I've got no credit left. So, I called the number, got my debit card ready and proceeded with all the usual security stuff.
Then, the voice at the other end got caught in a sort of loop and kept sending me round to the menu. After a few goes of this, I pressed '3' to speak to an Asda colleague.
Right, I'll be able to sort this out, I thought. Not so. Apparently, it costs 25p to speak to an Asda colleague and as my credit is zero, I won't be allowed to. The only thing I can do is call from a landline (I'm in the middle of town) and the number was given was so quickly that I didn't have time to write it down.
So, what now? Totally stuck with no credit. Don't they realise that people calling to top up won't have the necessary 25p to talk to 'an Asda colleague'? Absolutely nuts.
