Debt Advisory Helpline are hounding me

For some reason, the debt advisory helpline have got hold of my mobile phone number.  I didn't give it to them - it's a wrong number, basically.  However, for the last two weeks I have been getting up to 16 calls a day from them.

I've set my mobile to screen the calls so my phone doesn't actually ring any more but each day when I get home from work, there are 15 or 16 missed calls.  Sometimes I just delete the lot of them but then I realise that maybe someone important called me and I've deleted their call too.

I've called the helpline 5 times now (which costs money) and begged them to delete my number from their list.  They always assure that this will be done but it never works.  So, no luck.  Not even an apology for the inconvenience.  Why is it so hard to do a simple thing like delete a wrong number?  Also, if you're calling someone 16 times a day and they're not answering, wouldn't get an idea that maybe you've got a wrong number?

Basically, this is turning into harassment and I'm just wondering how to stop them.  I don't want to change my number because I've had it for 12 years now and lots of people use it.  Anyway, I don't see why I should.  Any suggestions, please?
