Replacement ink cartridges are too expensive
|

|
In this time of global warming we are told to waste not, want not. I am therefore infuriated by the cost of replacement ink cartridges for my printer. I have had two printers in the past year because it's cheaper to buy a new printer with a print cartridge included than it is to buy a replacement ink cartridge for my existing printer. I bought an Epson printer in Tesco for around £46. I went back a few months later to buy a replacement ink cartridge and they wanted £38 for it!! I ended up going to Argos and got a Canon printer with ink cartridge for £29. Where is the sense in that? I just can't understand why the price of replacement ink cartridges is so off the scale. Someone is obviously making a serious profit here. Also we are told to recycle these days (by the way, where do those recycled ink cartridges end up I wonder?). If the packaging industry were fined for excess packaging there would be no need to recycle. Just look at batteries for instance. It needs the dexterity of a safe cracker to get the damned things open. Fine those at the source instead of the British public.
