Dog fouling - my town is now one big dog toilet!
I'm sick and tired of lazy dog owners and the way they allow their dogs to foul the footpaths in the town where I live. In the last few years they have rapidly transformed the place into one great big dog toilet!

People who complain about recruitment agencies
After reading a number of posts on this website regarding recruitment agencies and their lack of service towards the candidate, I have realised that many of you need enlightening on the processes and business model of an agency.

Screaming babies ruined graduation ceremony
Last week it was my graduation ceremony, a day that would be memorable and it was spoilt by little babies and toddlers screaming. Universities say that graduation ceremonies are not suitable for children under 5 years old...

Dog's paw cut by broken glass on the street
My gripe is broken glass and how dangerous this debris can be for dogs. Why are people so irresponsible as to leave glass bottles around so that they get broken? Don’t they know how potentially harmful it is?

Cruelty to pigeons, there's no excuse for this
Why do people behave like this towards animals and birds? I don't have a special kinship with pigeons myself, but this particular one wasn't doing anyone any harm, he was just pecking at a few crumbs lying on the ground!

Kids throwing snowballs at buses and passers by
As we are all very much aware, the United Kingdom has been having its fair share of bad weather this week. Psychology studies may show that anti social behaviour occurs less during the winter months than in the summer.

Barking puppy next door is a nuisance
Having lived next door to people with dogs before I am very aware of how these animals can ruin what would otherwise be a quiet relaxing afternoon in the garden. My neighbour now has a puppy that barks all day long.

Horse manure dumped on the path outside my house
In view of the recent suggestion that I should have a point on my licence for dropping litter from my car window, why is it that a blind eye is turned to the mountains of horse manure that is dropped every day on our roads?

Horses have a right to be on the road too!
This is very simple! All horse riders/owners on the roads are not stuck up, posh and snobby. In fact the majority of us work really hard to afford what we do and go without other things so we can own or ride a horse!

Fireworks are a menace
Fireworks are a menace. Full stop. Loud, irritating and worthless in every respect. Have fireworks become the new ego extension for the lower classes? 'Look how big mine is' and 'See how loud that was'...

Barking dog problem makes life hell
I have a barking dog problem making life hell. Why is it that some people just don't care about others and in particular they don't give a second thought to how their pets may affect their neighbours?

Dog poop on our doorstep
We have a real problem with dog poop left quite literally on our doorstep by some selfish individual who is either too lazy or too stupid to pick it up and put it in the bin provided for this purpose!

Horse manure on the footpath
I was reading the gripe about horse manure on the road and I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to bring up something that has been irritating me for the last couple of weeks. What about horse manure on the footpath?

Dogs not allowed on some buses
I travel on buses and trains daily for my work during the week and shopping or leisure weekends. I have done this for a fair number of years and have never seen anything close to what I witnessed yesterday.

There aren't enough bridle paths in the UK
Horse riders constantly get moaned at for being on the road thereby causing motorists to have to slow down. I often hear people say 'horses shouldn't be on roads, that’s what bridle paths are for'.

Cruel tradition that kills horses should be banned
Having found out that a man drowned a horse in a river at Appleby Horse Fair this year, I ask myself WHY do we allow these cruel events to continue in the name of tradition?

Driver wouldn't let me take my dog on the bus
I take the 219 bus every day to and from work and I am very disappointed in the unfair and rude way I was treated by one of the drivers. I was refused entry with my dog and the driver simply drove off without any explanation.

Mosquito bites are a real pain, how do you stop them?
Mosquito bites are a real pain. I am on holiday for the first time in ages and have only been here a matter of hours and it would seem that dinner is served and I am the first course.

Some horse owners are rude
For the past two to three weeks I have driven home and about 3 times per week I have met the same lady and daughter and their horse. Each time I see them I slow right down to a walking pace.

Middle lane morons on the motorway
Why do some drivers think that the centre lane on motorways is the correct one to use at all times, and don’t they realize that by doing so they are effectively blocking off the nearside lane to all other road users.

Reckless drivers keep horses off the road
There are 12 accidents PER DAY on our roads involving horses - thankfully, some of these are minor, but the majority of these range from serious to fatal for horse and/or rider.

Rottweiler kept as a guard dog
There are too many news stories about children being bitten by Rottweilers for it to be ignored any longer. I think that the dangerous dogs act doesn’t go far enough to protect the public as far as these dogs are concerned.

Flies and bugs in the house during the summer
One of the things I don't like about the summer months is the way your house gets invaded by flies and crawling bugs. Not a fan of them so I wage a war and dig out the insecticide.

Get your dog on a lead in public places
I’m fed up with dog owners who let their dogs off the lead in parks and public places. I’m not that keen on having someone’s mutt race up to me and sniff my crotch then jump all over me.

Some facts about dolphins, porpoises and fishing nets
Dolphins and porpoises are dying in hundreds, maybe thousands, in fishing nets around the UK. The awful spectacle of dead dolphins on our beaches will continue unless more action is taken.

No bird flu vaccine available for my chickens
Bird Flu has now been confirmed in the UK. I'm sick and tired of reading and hearing about Asian bird flu (HN51) and even more concerned about the slow release of a vaccine for my birds.

Cruelty to cats really makes me sick
It makes me sick when I hear how some people in this country can be so nasty to animals, particularly cats. All too frequently there are stories in the news of cruelty and horrible deaths and it has just got to be stopped.

Why do pheasants run out into the road?
Why do these dozy pheasants always get in the way? On my way to work this morning I took I slightly different route than usual and on one particular road there were pheasants everywhere.

Irresponsible dog owners and dog poo
What really gets my goat up are irresponsible people who own dogs. Other pet owners I can tolerate, but urban dog owners are the pits and in my opinion should be placed on wanted posters offering 'Dead or Alive' rewards.

The Horse - in praise of our 4 legged friend
Pause for a few moments and consider the fate of Homo Sapiens without the helping hoof of his friend The Horse. A pretty pointless task really.

Horse manure on the road is dangerous
As a biker I do not understand why horses are allowed on the road. Horse riders are for ever complaining about vehicles not giving them room, yet they allow their animals to foul the road.
