An hour wasted on the phone to Sky
A letter written to Sky recently to request the cancellation of my subscription. This follows a particularly unnecessary and farcical episode on their notoriously inaccessible telephone system. Let me expand...

Car stuck in the garage for four months
It's now nearly 4 months down the line, the engine has almost been re-assembled - I've been guaranteed it will be ready on 4 occasions in the last week, needless to say those promises have not been fulfilled.

Why don't MFI have a voucher scheme?
A few days ago I enquired at MFI if they did a voucher scheme as I am getting married soon and would like vouchers instead of presents, plus the fact the store is conveniently situated just down the road!

Random appointments with BT engineers
I just moved into a new house and decided to get a BT landline installed, as there was no line into the house. The whole process has been frustrating though due to engineers not sticking to pre-arranged appointments.

Fed up with rogue tradesmen
I'm sick to death of being ripped off rogue tradesmen.  For example, I had a new kitchen fitted recently and it took them three months to finish the job. They even wanted paying in full before starting the job!

Tesco reduced to clear
Tesco used to significantly reduce the prices of items that were close to their sell-by date, but these days it's hardly worth the bother looking in the reduced section and hunting for those yellow stickers.

Children's toys are gimmicky trash
Children’s toys are very gimmicky these days. Brightly coloured bits of plastic that don't really do anything and have no real value other than to serve as a brief diversion before the child moves on to the next worthless piece of junk.

Garage bill was way too high
Outragious labour charge and over-priced parts. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the final bill. I've heard many tales of rip-off garages but I didn't think that I would be caught by one myself!

Dishwasher tablets that don't work
You just load it up and set it off. Around forty minutes later a load of clean sparkling crockery and cutlery appears as if by magic! At least that's what is supposed to happen.

Orange Mobile customer service
For the last 16 months I have been a customer of Orange Mobile. When will the large companies such as Orange learn that customers do not want to ring and complain but instead want decent service from the off?

I want him back, what should I do?
I have been in love with a man for seven years now. We may have a chance to get back together again and I want him back, but his mother says I am using our daughter to bribe him to be with me.

No Mac make-up at Debenhams
Why hasn't the make-up section in Debenhams Northampton got a Mac counter? Any woman that really knows her make-up is quite likely to favour Mac above all else. I know I do.

Cheap flat pack furniture
Cheap self assembly flat pack furniture and when I say cheap, I mean poor quality materials and design, not how much the pack actually cost you to buy in the shop! These things are actually quite loathsome in my opinion.

Renault Clio and dealership problems
I stretched my personal finances to buy a Renault Clio 182 Sport from a main dealership in Worcester. It was my belief that a new car with a warranty would give me hassle-free motoring for at least three years.

Ford Focus starting problems
I bought a Ford Focus 1.8TDCi brand new in April 2003 it has done 22,000 miles with a full Ford service history. However, on the 14th of May 2007 the car began to have cold starting problems.

eBay fees are too high
Is it just me, or are eBay getting just a little bit greedy when it comes to the fees levied at sellers these days? Also, I think that the seller fee system is over complicated and a bit devious, not to mention those PayPal fees!

Ordering online with Debenhams
I live in Spain and was delighted to discover that I could buy goods from Debenhams online and have them posted to a friends address in the UK. The first time I ordered online it worked perfectly...

Delivery drivers, the real job description
We are DELIVERY DRIVERS, which means we drive around and deliver things! By the way, we don't drive Reliant Robin's with just your parcel on board and Ford Transit vans can't always fit through your tiny gateways.

A pair of shoes that fell apart
I have always bought Clarks shoes and 58 years after national service, I still stick to the 'wear them - polish them' philosophy. Recently however, the sole and heel has started coming away from a virtually unworn pair.

Cheap car insurance for female drivers
How many male drivers have had enough of inequality of car insurance companies favouring female drivers, often tempting them with cheaper car insurance or female oriented perks.

Shopping online drives me crazy
Shopping online drives me absolutely crazy! It seems the larger and more expensive the item, the better the customer service, yet with smaller items there just doesn't seem to be the same level of customer care.

The quality of NEXT clothing
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a deterioration in the quality of clothing on sale in some of the main high street stores? I used to shop regularly at NEXT, but find that the clothing is now often of such poor quality.

Parent and child parking spaces
My major gripe is when people without children park in the 'parent and child' parking spaces at the supermarket. How selfish is hat? The elderly and the disabled think its absolutely their right to park in these spaces.

Garage ignored my wishes
I bought a high performance last year and had to take it to a garage when the gearbox refused to go into reverse. I'm not happy with the garage however because they ignored my wishes and fitted more expensive parts.

Dishonest garage sold our car
Our Fiat car broke down recently and we took it to a small garage in Wolesley Road, Plymouth. We were told it was uneconomical to repair the car and they offered to scrap it for us, but then sold it later without telling us.

High street opticians are a rip off
I'm fed up with the attempts of some high street opticians to overcharge me. They want to charge me £99 for the same pair of glasses that I can buy online for £25. Is the extra profit used to pay for the plush shops and advertising?

Not enough local food shopping
I am amazed that with so many gripes about supermarkets and their rising prices, or over use of packaging, under stocked shelves etc., that people still continue to use them. Why not do your food shopping locally?

Service with a smile at Tesco
Do you get service with a smile at Tesco? Maybe some people do, but not always I think. I visited a branch of Tesco at Coppets Lane in North London with my little girl who is only four years old.

Tesco shopping at Christmas
It’s not a mistake I will make in a hurry again. Doing the old Tesco shopping so close to Christmas Eve was a really bad idea. I ended up in a foul mood with bruised legs, a headache and an empty basket!

Recorded delivery goods damaged
I don’t think much of Royal Mail’s recorded delivery service. I came home about 4pm to find a package left outside my front door, on top of some rubbish waiting to be dumped at the local tip. The item was damaged of course.

Mothercare online problems
I ordered one pram and one sterilizing unit plus a few other bits from Mothercare online. I had spent over 500 euros by the time I got to the checkout. However things didn't exactly go smoothly after that.

Christmas is just a spend fest
I’m not an overly religious person, but it seems like the whole thing has been stolen, repackaged and sold back to us as a festival of eating, dinking and spending too much. Aren’t we forgetting the original Christmas message?

Nice cars go to the wrong people
Have you noticed how all the nice cars end up with the drivers who are least able to fully appreciate them? For example old people who buy a brand new expensive car and then drive it around at 15 to 20 mph.

People are nothing but sheep
People are just sheep and they’re pretty stupid sheep as it happens. You do what you are told and you do it when you are told, end of story. You can’t think for yourselves and you don’t even realise that you’ve got a choice.

It really irritates me when using the internet, for shopping or whatever, to be given an option to 'click here to enlarge' and then find out that there isn't really a larger image. A window opens with the same picture as before.

Slow people at the checkout
Not content with packing and repacking bags at the pace of an arthritic snail, these slow people will wait until they have completed the task to their inevitably high standards, before searching for a purse.

Empty shelves at Tesco
It's so annoying when you go to the local supermarket to do you're weekly shopping and find that the products you are after are out of stock. It is even more inconvenient when the same items are still out of stock a week later.

I hate shaving every day
Every morning I take a shower and like most guys we tend to shave in the shower. I sometimes end up with a few cuts though because the blade has become blunt. Why are razor blades so expensive? It’s a rip off!
