Chewing gum removal does not have to be painful. We have an excellent tip that works a treat. Just read the comments from people who have tried it. It really works - see the bottom of the main article.

Isn’t it wonderful when you come home from a night out, or if you have been to work on the bus, train or whatever and you find a big ugly lump of chewing gum stuck to your clothes?

| 09-5-2008 | thanks! this is the first time I've ever been able to remove chewing gum and I'd put it off for a YEAR but now, realling wanting to wear the skirt again, I tried this technique and it's just come off after about 2mins of rubbing with salt and washing up liquid | emma |

| 06-5-2008 | Cheers! Did the trick in no time. Can't believe someone left gum on the leg of my office desk - but at least my expensive jeans aren't ruined. Many thanks - and to google, of course. | edmundpw |
| 05-5-2008 | I first tried the ice cubes which removed alot of the chewing gum from my car seat, but it was very ground in,then tried the washing up liquid with rock salt and it brought the seat up a treat.

| 29-4-2008 | I cannot believe this worked. Some idiot hid gum under an office desk - and it was all over my suit trousers (very expensive) I tried the ice cube - but it was too ground in. I also tried new gum - I thought by putting more gum - it would stick to the old gum and pull it out. Well the ice cube trick...more | Mark |
| 29-4-2008 | After rubbing it hard for 2 hours using up 1 litre of washing up liquid and about a kilo of salt it went off with a piece of my trousers. Nice one! | unluckyjeans |

| 19-4-2008 | Will this method work if the gum got washed and dried? Apparently someone left gum in their pocket and I wasn't aware...now there's gum on several items...including new table linens! Can I still use this method or is it set in from the dryer? | Charm |
| 16-4-2008 | My son has just come home from school with gum that was left on a radiator all over his blazer, in despair I turned to google and thank goodness you came up, absolutely brilliant works straight away, I'm now a Super Mum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | Noele |
