The Weekly Gripe

Police too busy to investigate

Police have more important things to do?

Police weren't interested

The fact of the matter is the police made absolutely no effort at all and this is what is shocking. If this had been Germany, France or even Kenya, this would at least have been investigated

Last year my father was involved in a hit and run incident and although he recovered, we were astonished at the police's reaction which was to explain they had more important things to do and his case was not investigated.

19-2-2010 I don't see many police out and about these days. I see a lot of Specials and other groups dressed as police but not the real thing. Where are they all, what are they up to? Initiate a snap protest in the high street and you can bet they'll be out there in a flash - Hundreds of them.Davo
18-2-2010 Does anybody have anything good to say about this selfserving scum. I don't. The police in Bognor Regis are trash.HAPPYBUNNYNOT
18-1-2010 To be honest I'm struggling to believe this as it is written. I don't doubt that the events took place or that no action is being taken but I think there is a big chunk in the middle that the griper isn't telling us. I worked in the police for many years and I know that there is no way ...moreFreddie
18-1-2010 I regularly use a local café run by Algerian Muslims because it is a friendly place and they make good coffee. Every year they put up Christmas lights and a tree and wish everyone Merry Christmas. About half of their customers are Muslim and they wish people a nice Christmas as well, we wish t...moreKit
17-1-2010 Kit : Your last sentence sums up the situation succintly. I would just add to that, that there is now a culture of do-gooders who seem to think they have the right to think for all of us on behalf of those whom we might unwittingly insult, and to pass pathetic laws accordingly. An example is t...moreMikeP
17-1-2010 As I understand it "pikey" is an insult that was used mostly in regard to travellers of Irish descent but these days I have heard people use it almost as an alternative to "chav". However this man did not even write the email and his employee, who did write it, never used the...moreKit
17-1-2010 Since when were 'pikeys' a racial group? Gipsies, as in Romany people, are an ethnic group, but they are by and large not the scum causing all this trouble, although they do have their faults. I happen to know a little about this through involvement with an organisation doing work among...moreMikeP
17-1-2010 A business man was arrested in front of his wife and child and told he would be handcuffed if he did not agree to go to the police station. He was fingerprinted and his DNA was taken and he was told that it would be kept indefinitely. His house was searched and his and his wife’s computers we...moreKit
17-1-2010 Spotty retarded youth called Gavin, thanks very much for that. Made me laugh! Great post.miserablemoaninggit
08-1-2010 I used to have a great deal of respect for the police - until I needed them. Then, I quickly realised that they are fully immersed into the 'tick box' culture and 'targets' of the Blair/Brown Britain that we have to live in. Unfortunately, it is the nature of many people who enter...moremiserablemoaninggit

07-1-2010 Fubar-UK, but you try standing up to these low lifes, and you will be arrested and DNA tested before you have time to ..............Gainsborough lad.
