Climate change - Is global warming really happening?

Do you believe in global warming?

Gobal warming, real or not?

So tell me people? Are you a global warming denier? What do you feel we should do about it? We are experiencing a change of climate, but it's nothing to do with temperature, its all to do with money in my humble opinion.

Over half of the UK does not believe in global warming a recent poll has suggested lately. So what does this mean? Why are the people of the United Kingdom feeling that global warming isn't real?

17-6-2010 Our Local Authority, which is costing me personally £137 every month for 12 months of the year, is mentally ill. Here's an example of its totally certifiable madness. We get a leaflet in the post. It has been sent to all households in the borough. It says "We are launching a new weekly food waste recycling service" "More than a third of what ends up in our bins is food waste with left overs, peelings and out-of-date items." "Most of this ends up in landfill where it breaks down releasing gas which contributes to global warming." What utter garbage! What scientific twaddle and rubbish! The garbage collection truck contributes more to global warming than my food waste. This local authority is contributing to the bankruptcy of our nation. The staff of the local authority contribute more to global warming via their pharting. Close it down, and throw its workforce out onto Skid Row. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4013/4587695128_83e5cf365c.jpg I will toss them a handful of my potato peelings.Burn Out
13-4-2010 At the age of 57, I can count the number of hot summers that I can remember on the fingers of one hand, & ef the last 3 or 4 years are anything to go by, the earth is cooling not warming as the government funded scientists would have us believe.anne

22-3-2010 Well, at least Isklar is a carbon neutral product. Folgefonna glacier (the source of Isklar) is one of the few glaciers in the world that actually grows.strila
20-3-2010 Drink Isklar mineral waters, from Norway, made from the melting glaciers, product of global warming?A Consumer of Global Politics
14-3-2010 I heard we had a mini ice age on the way. Sounds like 'the end of the world is nigh' crap. I aint gonna be around to see it if it ever happens, so me, not bothered. There is no point in stressing over things you can't control.Been there
14-3-2010 It’s all a giant tax con, come on people wake up! We are taxed to death. The government tax us while waving the green flag then want to build extra run ways at airports. They have created an industry out of thin air, and it’s worth billions. When China stops building a coal powered power station every hour I will worry about sorting my rubbish. Scientists have been court red handed altering data to suit the governments plan. Emission trading is now massive and people are getting rich from it. Take the Corus steel plant for instance. It was a healthy business with profits of over one hundred million a year. It was shut down and now the parent group of the company (Tata) receives almost six hundred million a year from European emissions trading as it cut its emissions. Every official body in this horrible country is corrupt, they will continue to rape us with new tax ideas until we fight back.Aleedsfella
04-3-2010 Climate change: What has really annoyed me in the last couple of weeks, in this cold weather - shops that leave their doors open. Laura Ashley and Dorothy Perkins to name but two. Whats the point of the rest of us trying to 'do our bit' when they seem to be trying to heat up the whole of Haywards Heath???Anonymous
06-2-2010 Some of the eastern side of the usa is bracing itself for thirty inches of snow tonight, if this is global warming, then I don't want to know what isn't.Goremless..
01-2-2010 'Comentor' The latest theories are simply that - the latest in a series. There will be another set of theories along in a few months / years to contradict the current ones. The whole concept of 'Man Made Global Warming' (MMGW) is already wilting under the weight of massive criticism because of dubious research practices used to justify what has become an almost evangelical movement so I am sure others will soon rush in to fill the proselytizing vacuum.Congo
01-2-2010 I remember in the 60's there was a lot of talk about us going into another ice age, scientists told us that most of Scotland would be under permanent ice ! Now we have "global warming". When nothing happens the scientists will claim that the measures they put in place to combat global warming has worked. there are a few scientists (I will not name any, they know who they are) who want to make a name for themselves even by exaggerating. I do believe that polution does not help matters, but scaring people does not help either.Comentor
30-1-2010 It is all an issue of money. There are a number of simple things thatcan be implemented that will reduce "global warming" contributors. Reducing speed limits from 70mph to 50mph will result in a 50% reduction in emissions from cars. But at the same time it will also mean a 50% in Government revenue from Taxes. That is totally unacceptable. An eruption from Krakatoa will cause more emissions than the total combined world output. How will that be controlled? Have a Global warming meeting in Scandinavia, and the world freezes over. Where is the Global warming? Scientist got it wrong and Governments are using it to raise TAXES.André
