Internet Explorer versus Firefox
Personally I prefer Internet Explorer as a web browser. I have used both IE and Firefox, but for me I'm going to stick with the good old Microsoft known and trusted (by me anyway) offering. What's your favourite?

Not sure which web browser to use? If you are a geek you are quite likely to jump into bed with Firefox and the chances are that you are probably running on Linux rather than Windows. True? False?

| 02-2-2008 | both Mac and Windose Suck. seriously, Linux everything works, no issues, and if Macs just work, why is there a website called macfixit.com?
I use Firefox under Gutsy Gibbon, and to be honest I haven't looked back to windose since, it is so unstable by comparison as are macs come to think of ...more | daniel |

| 14-12-2007 | ahhhh. it's so much fun to hear the poor old PC folk argue over which is the least worst browser. We MAC folk are just used to things that work first time every time and let us just enjoy our on-line life. One day guys, you'll realise...... | soft southerner |
| 22-11-2007 | Maxthon is the best browser. Firefox is consistently slower by about 25% plus Maxthon has more useable features. I occassional look to see if there have been new advancements in opera, firefox, and IE and just can't find anything better than Maxthon. | Tom Watts |
| 02-10-2007 | It's all relative because the stats on w3schools say that Firefox is picking up ground (as Opera is incidentally). | 05-6-2007 | As a web developer I prefer firefox/opera as I can do more with them. They are far easier to build web pages for as they are much closer to the standards. Don't get me wrong they also have their respective bugs but not nearly as bad as IE.
IE is more popular only because a lot of users do not r...more | Taranis |

Only use IE when updating windows. | Rocket88 |
| 07-7-2006 | The answer is simple, what you use depends on your needs. If you need a fast, secure, extendable, and reliable browser, use Firefox. If you're somehow satisfied with having a ton of virus-eliminating crap all over your computer, stick with IE.
Concerning your OS, if you need your games, defin...more | Master Soup |
