| 16-3-2010 | David Rundle, the Lib Dem Headington City Councillor, has just been pontificating about residents parking on the E Democracy Headington and Marston website, he doesn't seem to understand that Controlled Parking does not work, that it just moves a few cars about by a few extra streets rather tha...more | nick "petrolhead" fell |
| 15-3-2010 | There has been a brilliant post, placed on the Headington and Marston Neighbourhood Forum website, about changes to the Headington Central CPZ, the guy who left the post is someone calling himself Mark P. I would like to know more about this individual subject, and would like to hear from Mark P. ...more | nick "petrolhead" fell. |
| 10-3-2010 | Score one for the motorist, blow to Oxford County Council over the High Street Bus Gate, a judge has ruled the signage to be ambiguous and confusing, the judge has said he will produce a final ruling at a date yet to be decided, and yet to be announced. It's not looking good for Oxfordshire Co...more | nick "petrolhead" fell |
| 09-3-2010 | Invalid suspension of parking bays in East Avenue, Cowley, OX4 due to the signs having days, dates and times on them which is incompatible with the TSRGD 2002 Chapter 3 paragraph 6.26, as having days/dates/times is a non permitted variant, neither prescribed nor authorised, they should legally have...more | nick "petrolhead" fell |
| 09-3-2010 | In fact the real motivators behind the spread of the evil CPZ is David Begg, from Worse Transport 2000 and the bus companies, who have a financial interest in the spread of CPZs. Plus the anti car groups who get money from the government for their campaigns of anti car hatred. Its greener to go b...more | nick "petrolhead" fell |
| 09-3-2010 | Wake Up To Reality is absolutely correct in what he says, full marks, spot on. Controlled Parking does indeed cause grave inconvenience and the consultation is indeed a sham, and totally undemocratic, that is why I joined the anti CPZ cause in the first place. Plus because of the anti democratic ...more | nick "petrolhead" fell |
| 09-3-2010 | If you tap "selfish parkers" Into your google bar you will see that some people are for controlled parking. In fact one community has resorted to using their wheelie bins to protect their roads !
Another thing Mr fell, how can you hope to give an unbiased and fair opinion on the is...more | Mr Hicks |
| 09-3-2010 | It is my belief that most people who support controlled parking and CPZs simply are not aware of the grave inconvenience it causes, and the costs. The so-called democratic consultation exercises are nothing but sham. The real purpose of CPZs is to make money for the council. There is absolutely no...more | Wake up to Reality |
| 08-3-2010 | Sorry Mr Hicks that not true, there is not support out there, I have relatives in both towns you mention, I find no such support, so there goes your argument, phut. Nottingham and Birmingham both have technical issues with their TROs, go look at Richard Bentley's RMB Consulting website, see wh...more | nick "petrolhead" fell |
| 08-3-2010 | If you tap " selfish parkers" into your google bar you will find that there is support for controlled parking out there. The people of walsall, hart and st anns, nottingham seem to be in favour. As for the councils making huge piles of cash, I am not so sure. You have to take into a...more | Mr Hicks |
| 08-3-2010 | On the basis with the Police at least it really would be about road safety, and not about making huge piles of cash, which is all the Councils are doing it for, to raise money illegally for their budgets. No one in their right minds trusts the councils with parking enforcement anymore, quite right...more | nick "petrolhead" fell |
| 08-3-2010 | Mr fell, you say that parking control should be returned to the police. Surely the police have enough to deal with, murder, rape, robbery etc. They should not have to deal with such petty matters as people not paying for their pay and display ticket ! | Mr Hicks |
