What's the best web browser, Firefox, IE, Opera or Safari?

Finding a good all round web browser

What do you think is the best web browser?

I'm actually really looking for the browser that's right for me and I have recently began to lean more towards Mozilla FireFox.

I haven't got much memory on my laptop and to be honest I found the latest version of Internet Explorer a bit of a memory hog.  I have always been a fan of IE in the past but there's some good competition out there these days.

19-3-2008Phil, auto spellchecker decided on the spelling and I was way too tired to proof (slapped wrists!) I do sometimes use text based browsers, in fact used to use something called DosLynx many years ago and have used Lynx recently in fact. I shall have to give SeaMonkey a go!Moth
19-3-2008I use Firefox for most of my work, with the exception of MS Sharepoint, and at that stage I have to use IE7 as Firefox encounters minor issues. I'm not anti-Microsoft, I just like the feel of Firefox! I use Opera Mini on my Nokia E51 and IE mobile on my work HTCS730. You are right thought, ...morePugsy
19-3-2008Hey, nice article. You didn't mention Mozilla SeaMonkey, Galeon, or Konqueror! I think a bit of explanation is in order as to why the browsers are different, and sometimes similar. Firefox, SeaMonkey and Galeon are all Gecko based browsers. Gecko is the Mozilla Foundation's layout engine...morePhil
