I haven't got much memory on my laptop and to be honest I found the latest version of Internet Explorer a bit of a memory hog. I have always been a fan of IE in the past but there's some good competition out there these days.

| 22-4-2008 | Konqueror is pretty good. It's got tabs, is a bit faster than Firefox and renders pages nicely. My feeling about IE is that it's bloated (hence the big memory footprint), rather ugly and lacks plugins/extensions. | 31-3-2008 | I've got to recommend Opera as my favourite browser. There's no messing about and it's now free as well. It has come on leaps and bounds since the early versions and in my opinion is a serious competitor for Firefox and Internet Explorer. | Dan |

| 19-3-2008 | Phil, auto spellchecker decided on the spelling and I was way too tired to proof (slapped wrists!) I do sometimes use text based browsers, in fact used to use something called DosLynx many years ago and have used Lynx recently in fact.

| 19-3-2008 | I use Firefox for most of my work, with the exception of MS Sharepoint, and at that stage I have to use IE7 as Firefox encounters minor issues.
I'm not anti-Microsoft, I just like the feel of Firefox!
I use Opera Mini on my Nokia E51 and IE mobile on my work HTCS730.

I think a bit of explanation is in order as to why the browsers are different, and sometimes similar. Firefox, SeaMonkey and Galeon are all Gecko based browsers. Gecko is the Mozilla Foundation's layout engine...more | Phil |
