Dangerous bikers risk lives, ruin reputation of motorcyclists

Dangerous motorcyclists risk lives

Bike riding dangerously

Luck runs out eventually though. I'm assuming he made it home safely that night because I didn't hear anything about an accident on the radio and thankfully it didn't happen right in front of me.

I saw one of the most dangerous manoeuvres by a motorcyclist I have ever seen in my life whilst driving home along the M40 one Sunday evening. Taking stupid risks isn't cool and does nothing for the image of bikers.

06-3-2008Car - Found this which might be of interest "Although it goes against what is said in the Highway Code, it is in fact not illegal in itself to undertake again providing no danger is caused to other road users, and drivers are not caused to alter course or speed." Very worthwhile read...moreAnonymous
06-3-2008Is it legal for bikes to overtake on the left (on motorways)? I have never ever seen a bike wait behind other vehicles to move over and overtake on the right which is why I wonder - are there different overtaking laws for bikes?Car
04-2-2008Mickey Mouse: Unfortunately and very sadly, there are a FEW motorcyclists who think they are God. I was very unfortunate to meet one of these whilst out riding on my horse on a lovely sunny evening just over 4 years ago. The police estimated he was travelling around 120 mph on a minor B-Road. ...moreNikki
04-2-2008Motor bikers and Cyclists Why don't you just get a car for God's sake. Many of you are suicidal and then moan when you get hurt or injured. I nearly ran a motor biker over today (not on purpose) because the idiot was going 90+MPH on a small B-road. I'm not moaning about the sensi...moreMickey Mouse
23-1-2008I think that no one has ever read the high way code, because when I was talking to a friend about bikes he started to say some of the manoeuvre we do are illegal and there not and he actually got is high way code out and checked it to a surprise. Every time I go out on my bike I nearly have abou...morelee
22-1-2008Mrs A Thank you for your comments. It wasn't good, that's for sure, and has left me with a violent hatred of speeding motorcyclists. Those that drive considerately I have no problem with, I will flinch when they pass me, understandably, but that's my problem, not their's.Nikki
20-1-2008I don't have aproblem with bikers, I respect them and they respect me. By which I mean if I'm on a strait road and have a biker sat near my back wing, I'll move over slightly to let him past and I always recieve a wave of thanks. To say enclosed vehicle drivers are better is wrong, a...moreLaughable.
08-1-2008Nikki, what a shame to hear your horse was killed by a bike. That really must have been traumatic!Mrs. A.
26-12-2007Biker Boy: when I nearly met my maker for the third time in my life at the hands of a motorbiker, traffic coming from the left and from the right had stopped to allow me to cross the pedestrian crossing. The biker, in his wisdom, decided that he would just blast past everyone and get to his destin...moreNikki
23-12-2007Livid states "I don't overtake on pedestrian crossings" Without condoning dangerous motorcyclists, may I suggest you refresh your memory of the Highway Code. It is only illegal to overtake at a ped crossings if the vehicle has stopped to give way to pedestrians (Rule 167).Biker Boy
21-12-2007Shortly after my horse was killed by an idiot on a motorbike, I was nearly run down on a zebra crossing. A bike overtook a car who had kindly stopped for me. Luckily, I never just blindly walk across a crossing, but always proceed carefully like there is some stupid pranny doing exactly what this ...moreNikki
