| 14-4-2008 | The best thing that could happen is everyone wanting work signed up to a new type of Job Agency - One owned and run by the Trades Unions. Private companies could go outside and advertise the old fashioned way. Or, if ordinary folk stuck to their guns, they would have to use the Union agency to recru...more | Arthur Scargill |
| 13-4-2008 | This really is no major revelation is it? They are a business after all. Maybe I have just been lucky - have used agencies for the last 3 jobs I have had with no problems. Remember people it is a 2 way thing - I state what role I want, how much I expect and how far I will travel. If they cannot tick...more | Goaty |
| 29-1-2008 | Recruitment agencies put themselves first! You are just the instrument to bring in their weekly or monthly commission. I say this from my own personal experiences. | 22-11-2007 | Well you were not prepared to list the bad one's because there are so many. So, instead why don't you list some or all of the good ones? If there are not that many, it won't be difficult? | Ed |
| 15-11-2007 | After reading the gripe about recruitment agencies, I felt as though it was my duty to write my thoughts. I currently run a recruitment consultancy and although I agree there are a lot of bad recruiters out there, there are also some very good ones. I started my business three years ago after spendi...more | Tina |
| 09-10-2007 | I do have a problem with recruitment agencies in that they also replace a company's own personnel department. WIth that gone, personnel are treated amateurishly at best, the view no doubt being taken that such things are unnecessary? Well thanks senior management, like we care about you!

| 09-10-2007 | The problem is it is now almost impossible to find an office job by going directly to employers. If they do respond they will point you to their favoured agency. It suits the employer and it suits the agency. The biggest loser in all this is the job-seeker. It's about time something was done to ...more | vim |
| 04-10-2007 | Alright brainbox, im sure the recruitment agencies are quaking in their boots, You havnt blown the lid, 99% of people who visit recruitment agencies fully understand its a sales environment, everything you say is true, but useless as people already know this, however recruitment agencies clearly do ...more | beefface |
| 25-9-2007 | Recruitment Agencies are target driven telesales, with the exception of the reputable ones.
I find they do not read your letter or CV, you are called in to fill out a form that is a repeat of your CV.
