The Weekly Gripe

Rip off companies, do they really exist?

Are we really being ripped off?

Do they really rip you off?

Let me be clear, if you receive poor service, shoddy products or encounter dishonesty there is a clear reason to be upset and a good reason to shame the responsible and debate the issue.

My gripe is aimed at those people who always feel ripped off and their ill informed rants and badly researched opinions. What I find objectionable are those people who simply decide they are paying too much.

The free market then turns into the protectionism that it itself strives to overcome. Ironic huh?Lever

11-7-2007Council Tax: Whilst we pay a reasonable amount here in the UK, I feel sorry for those in The USA. Their rate of 'Property Tax' (which is like our Council Tax) is charged at 6% yearly of their property value. We are most fortunate, for now...Awake
06-7-2007I am stunned you do not realise that there is no division between the ‘rip-off merchant’ and any other seller. Everyone wants to make the most profit they can. Profit is the bottom line.
