I hate going to a public toilet and having to walk out behind someone who hasn't washed their hands after going to the toilet. It's simply disgusting and their is no excuse for it.



Can someone please tell me why door handles on public toilets are all on the wrong side?

03-2-2010 Public toilet hygiene is much misunderstood. Even if the person before you washes their hands you are still not safe. Imagine this. Previous person uses toilet and soils his hand. 10-10-2009 The reason most public toilet doors open inwards is that if they opened out they would cause a hazard to people passing by the corridors and areas outside, often carrying drinks or food. 21-9-2009 One other thing worth noting. In all public buildings exit doors should be of the "Crash" design in that, in an emergency, one can escape by outward pressure on the door. This prevents crush injuries in the event of a panic. Then why are public toilet doors inwards opening?colin51
