People in the UK not friendly?
Since first moving to the UK, I decided to move away again and have lived abroad for seven years. During that time I have never failed to make friends with the locals, and quickly too.
|
During the time I spent living in the UK I was always treated as a foreigner and found it difficult to form friendships with English people. Why are English people so cold and unfriendly to foreigners?

| 13-5-2008 | I've often wondered the same thing. They seem so cold and self-important. I've gotten to know about 5 Brits in my life, and they were all cut from the same unfriendly cloth. It's a trip! They have no reason to act that way, yet time and time again they do. It's freakish...must b...more | Jennifer - Los Angeles, California |
| 12-5-2008 | Every Brit I've met thus far strengthens the stereotype we have of them. They are unfriendly and come across very cold and prudish. Screw them. | 25-4-2008 | Honestly most of the 'foreigner' jokes that get banded around are a joke. when the British mock you it means they think they know you well enough to get away with, meaning they like you.
