Young people are being conned again
Rings are stabbed through tender parts of the anatomy, scarring faces and bodies; irremovable tattoos disfigure perfect flesh; 'designer stubble' (surely the most slovenly fashion of all time)

One of the most successful cons took place in the 18th Century, when older men and women dictated fashions to favour themselves. The most cunning of all their ploys was to decree that everyone should wear white or silver wigs.
