Don’t worry about the bloke who regularly has a quick out by the fire exit or indeed the dubious looking cleaner that you are sure is nicking stuff from your desk.



One day a large important looking man came into our office and said he was going to carry an assessment to ensure that we comply with health and safety regulations. I needed a new chair and my boss is now fuming!

10-1-2007Hey would any one be able to help we are wondering if part of a cleaners room at work could be turned in to a tea break area for tea and biscuits and lunch remember that equiptment and chemicals are stored in the same room so is that alowed or would it go against heath and saftey regulations?DAVE

22-11-2006Incidentally Mark,I'm not an inspector.I've worked on building sites,down the mines on coal faces,in factories and now I work in a school.Health and safety is there to protect you and employers from possible accident and legal action.Bob
