Radio DJ cuts my song short - Chris Evans

No more Chris Evans radio show

Chris Evans Drivetime

He announced the following song - the brilliant 1990s hit by Mark Morrison 'Return of the Mack' - played it for only five seconds, during which my friends and I excitedly turned the sound up so that we could enjoy the song.

Is anyone else really fed up with listening to Chris Evans on his Radio 2 show broadcast every day around teatime? What he did on Wednesday was so unforgivable we switched off the radio in disgust and haven't put it on since!

18-4-2008As a Johnnie Walker fan I was dreading Chris Evans taking over the slot but have found he is much better than I expected. He has grown up alot in the last few years!grumpyoldwoman
13-4-2008My journey home is made all the better with Chris Evans on the radio. However the journey to work is getting worse by Sarah Kennedy increasingly talking over the music and regailing us with interminable tales of cats and horses and her Mutch Beloved.KAV2987
27-3-2008Chris Evans is the best thing on radio at the moment, especially Fridays. Keep going Chrisinmy opinion
15-3-2008There is no date to this entry - probably 100 years old. Chris is a good guy. Better to get rid of the boring Wogan and Steve Wright (he turned me off Radio1 when I was growing up) and whilst we are at it I'd also lose Vine.Simon
03-3-2008He was quite right too, it's a terrible song! But that's what he often does - plays a few seconds of song then goes into another one, and it's not as if he's the only DJ who does that. If you think that that is disgusting and unforgivable then I dread to think how you might react i...moreElanon

02-11-2007Sick to death of Chris Evans, if I wanted to listen to a radio 1 DJ then I would tune into radio1, instead I now turn off and would rather listen to the local. please bring back Johnny Walker CJ
26-10-2007I can't stand Chris Evans either, he's constantly over exited, a cr*p interviewer & obviously not very bright. He's also constantly fishing for compliments to boost his blatantly fragile ego. As soon as he comes on I switch stations, especially when I hear "and what did you you ...morechalky
16-10-2007Honestly, if you're the sort of person who likes 'Return of the Mack' then you lose already. I'm with Chris, that song is pure tosh and should never be played. I like Chris and look forward to hearing him every day. May I suggest Heart or Kiss or any other of those bland stati...morerandomgirl
05-10-2007I agree - I don't think he has ever played a record in full ,without talking over the intro , or , even worse, cutting records short. I am afraid he is one of the modern presenters who is more concerned with the sound of his own voice or incessantly telling us what is his name or the name of the...moreSteve
