Television adverts - Gender Wars
The main thing that annoys me about today's TV ads is the fact that they now appear to concentrate on making politically correct points instead of selling their products
|
Advertisements which mock and denigrate men are antagonising nearly half of their potential customers. Presumably the companies involved consider consumers to be such a stupid bunch.

| 22-5-2008 | a great tactic for diverting women from the real issues they face of inequality, but hey in today's post feminist world if you flash your bum out of a limo or binge drink your emancipated. If you laugh at men being demeaned its equality; go on and spend, no need to worry about silly things like ...more | Joe Spoon |

Hmm, do you happen to have her phone number? | Michael |
| 02-2-2008 | its the same old thing, when its sexism towards men its empowering to women and when its the other way round its sexism

| 28-11-2007 | Oracle, calm down Dear it's only a commercial. I don't believe for one minute that the commercials are made by women in high powered jobs or H.O.A as is referred. | 28-11-2007 | McLovin....great point. Just like the flash advert where the bloke cleans up while his wife is out and that hilarious one with Mr Muscle! I can see your point completely. It's not often that somebodys post has no holes in it whatsoever. Well done U!!!! | Freddie |
| 28-11-2007 | If you want to talk about stereotypes in television commercials, why is it that just about every commercial for household cleaning items features a WOMAN cleaning up after her family, and never a man? | McLovin' |

For years they have campaigned to censor and even criminalise any speech that could even be remotely construed as "offensive" to women. Yet they buy products promoted in advertisements that are overtly hateful towards...more | Petros |
| 01-7-2007 | I'm sorry, 'Atilla the mum', but your examples pale in comparison to those of 'ORACLE 2006'. Can you seriously not see this?? | dyslexic_banana |
| 17-4-2007 | oracle is quite correct however the reason behind it is not to advance feminism (women are too stupid to conspire) its simply because most of the ads he is referring to are written by women. | Miss Hodge Innis |
| 02-4-2007 | The companies who do this are anything but wrong. They are making their sales skyrocket. The writer of this article said that these companies "are antagonising nearly half of their potential customers." Nothing could be farther from the truth. Women are the #1 consumers of pretty much ever...more | Sam -USA |

| 14-7-2006 | I don't want to waste any more of my time on this matter - after all I do have an empire to run !
What I would ask you all to ponder is -
if women are now the masters, why does Cherie Blair allow Tony Blair to make so many blunders recently?
After all, if he goes down, she will lose all her...more | Imperator. |
