Real Ales ignored
What's the matter with the latest generation of pub goers? I'll tell you what, they're the junk food generation that haven't got a clue what real beer actually is and all they do is binge drink.
|
Why do the large breweries insist on churning out these vodka based alcopops that young people down quickly just to get drunk. Half these kids don't even know what real ale is let alone appreciate it!

| 07-1-2008 | What has the world come to? Now you're not allowed to have your drink of choice without being told off for it. Drink your ale and let everyone else enjoy their blue wkd in peace and just be thankful it's not a cocktail of drugs! | Welcome to the 21st century |

| 13-6-2007 | I went to my first beer festival at a local "traditional" pub a few weeks ago. It was pretty good! Lots of different types of Ale. Arundel St George was my favorite although I couldnt tell you why - I just liked it more than the others. A perfect summers evening tipple!

| 05-6-2007 | This is a damn good gripe, like you say the only reason why they drink tasteless larger like carling is because they see it on thier football teams shirt. | 25-11-2006 | I'm actually encouraged by how many under-30s ARE into real ale. It may not be the norm but it is more than you think. Besides, tastes develop through life and the 20-year-old who necks crap lager may be a real ale drinker in five or ten years time. | Chris |
| 28-10-2006 | Well I don’t drink beer, only wine and occasional spirits. But I still stump up that people should drink the real quality thing rather than these cheap mass produced rubbish that taste more like water. | anon |
| 28-9-2006 | I was introduced to ale by my pairents when I was a small child, I mean before I can remenber maybe 4 or 5 years old. I remember drinking beer and wine at the dinner table when I was about 8 or 9. I had plenty of time for my palet to develope before my 18th. birthday bender:P | twiggs |
| 22-8-2006 | I don't think it's fair to tar every young person with the same brush. I'm a 26 year old pub manager who often enjoys a pint of real ale after work and I know many people who feel the same.
Our pub is one of about three in the town that sells real ale. Many pubs are put off sellin...more | Trickywoo |
| 09-8-2006 | Tart fuel and old fart fuel. Absolutely priceless that. Personally I like real ale and lager, but if the time is right I will have a spirit and a mixer as well. Whatever suits the occasion and what is on offer. Drinks are getting expensive though I can definitely agree with that and kids are sta...more | Paul |
| 05-8-2006 | Things change as you get older. After you've gone on a few too many benders, you stop wanting to drink that much. When you're young, you just want to party and get messed up. Whatever works the fastest and costs the least is your best bet. So, no, of course young people don't enjoy real ...more | Princess Kim |
| 19-7-2006 | Well times change. We don't want to drink your 'old fart fuel'. | A sad slapper |
