Getting caught speeding
There's no excuse for speeding, but the cameras are all about punishing the unfortunate ones who get caught rather than about road safety. Next thing you know, you have a speeding ticket!

The problem with speed cameras is that they are not able to differentiate between a dangerous driver and someone using speed when it is safe to do so. Speed cameras are not the answer.

| 15-8-2007 | Sam.. You have a case as there is an allowance for the fact that your speedo is not calibrated. The standard allowance is 10% plus 2mph. So in your case you should not be prosecuted until you were doing 36 or more. Stick to your guns and insist that you were only doing thirty. | ex cop |
