Advertising on radio and TV - fed up with ads

Adverts on television and radio

Sick of adverts?

I am too and it comes to something when the adverts are longer than the pgroamme you are trying to watch. I just get fed up with them and change the channel.

I don’t have a TV and there is a very good reason for that. Apart from the mindless dribble that one has to endure and the cost of the TV License, there appears to be an endless stream of adverts to contend with!

29-4-2008I feel really intimidated and threatened with these adverts. I have a TV licence and my car is taxed so you don't have to come and crush my car, thanks but no thanks. Without prior warning and invite, they appear before me when relaxing after a days work. Take your offensive media and direc...morePeter Piper
27-4-2008I am pleased that I am not the only one who finds TV modern adverts annoying, even extremely irritating. I too also recall when TV adverts were more entertaining . TV Ad agencies have run out of ideas' and talent, and seem to think that by playing the same annoying purile advert at every TV br...moreCynic
17-4-2008Amen to all that has been said! I can recall when commercials were pleasant and infrequent. Now they are constant and very annoying. The most annoying of all are those (which seem to be the most frequent kind of late) that incessantly repeat a phone number or web address ("call 1-800-335-4600, ...moreBrocken Specter

15-4-2008I think that ads should be made that most ads should go.if people want ads they should have a designated time of half an hour to have them, not in the middle of shows.mike

Where I come from radio broadcasting is...morekenny
13-3-2008I agree with all the comments on this subject, the adverts are getting worse in both content and frequency. Advertising agencies seem to think that making an advert annoying makes it memorable: WRONG!! It makes people avoid the product because they are getting fed up with the repitition and annoance...moreCynic
07-3-2008What gets me is the amount of advertising of their own shows on the BBC. It's getting absolutely ridiculous. I'm waiting for a show to come on the tv that's listed as starting at 9:00, after being told that the programme is coming up next I have to sit through an advert for some b*llocks...moreHugh Janus
05-3-2008There is just way to much commercials on television, 15 minutes of commercials and ten minutes of show.the FCC needs to address this matter. For those that don't have access or a recorder have to set and watch them. And besides most commercials are stupid , waste of electricity, makes no sense....moreRalph
14-2-2008Advertising in general has gotten out of control. Point in fact, who didn't take notice of the influx of commercials during the Superbowl? Try turning on Jeapordy...within 4 minutes of each show they go to commercial. Look at any morning news, 2 minutes of weather and news, then commercial. ...moreTom
