Office cleaners, poor performance and theft

Cleaner leaves desk in a mess

They're supposed to clean

How are your office cleaners performing in terms of clearing up the mess made by the office yuppies. Do they nick the biscuits when no one is looking?

I thought cleaners were supposed to make the place 'cleaner'. Well, I wasn't very happy when I walked in to the office this morning and saw the state of my desk, it was like a whirlwind had hit it!

09-4-2008Your cleaner actually cleans your desk - how fortunate are you! It is this simple, if you dont want to clean then dont be a cleaner.Get in the real world.
21-12-2006I think this posting speaks for itself. This sad individual who probably earns twice as much as the cleaner has spent a good few minutes writing a whole page about an untidy desk. I guess they probably think they are superior to them as they can order their own paperclips without authorisation... ...morepp

18-2-2006I take the point about paying peanuts, you get monkeys, but there is never any excuse for doing a bad job. I consider I am paid peanuts for what is a very responsible job as secretary in a Firm of solicitors, but I always try my best to do my best; it simply would not occur to me to do otherwise. ...moreNikki
16-2-2006Having ran a successful cleaning business for 21 years I can only say its probably down to your company paying peanuts and getting monkeys for it. If you would prefer not to have your desk cleaned then leave ANOTHER post-it somewhere, perhaps stuck on your monitor!Doug

10-2-2006If I was being paid £3-00 per hour to slog my guts out cleaning up after a bunch of selfish messy yuppies I would possibly help myself to the odd biscuit too!!!Mark
