What a nightmare
The software could more accurately be described as bloatware and it kept crashing all the time. Version 10 was just a joke and you can forget turning on background rendering.

I tried out Pinnacle Studio recently, to edit some home movies and I wish I had just stuck with Windows Movie Maker. It would have been a lot less hassle and a lot less crashing.
