Christmas party time
It's that time of year when you have to be sociable to those people you work with, including the ones you don't like. What do you do, kiss them under the misseltoe or strangle them with a cracker. How do you cope with the work xmas
|
Well the ones that actually take place in the office definitely do, because for one thing you don’t get a chance to escape the boring office environment.

| 11-12-2009 | How does this one sound. The party is at a beach bar in San Diego right on the board walk. It starts at 12:20 pm and goes till you want (Friday afternoon off). The owners of the company are cool and the employees actually like each other. So the point is not all Holiday parties are boring and suck. | Cadillac |
| 31-10-2009 | My last job organised a party at Whisky Mist in London (very expensive club where celebrities go) the christmas party budget went on entry and 10 bottles of wine for us to share between 30 of us. I didn't go but I heard that most of the staff could only afford 1 drink after the free wine had ru...more | Payroll Princess |
| 31-10-2009 | I've never gone to an office Christmas Party in ten years, and have never regretted my choice in not doing so. I have friends, a small number of whom I even met through work, but I see no reason to socialise with people that they actually need to pay me to spend time with during the day; that...more | Rahel |
| 29-10-2009 | We're getting near that time again and yes, Christmas office parties do indeed, suck. The shop talk, the meeting your managers partners and them boring the a*** off you about their husband/wife and kids and their achievements, the mediocre and expensive food, the way you can't really relax ...more | Bukowski |
| 22-12-2008 | Please, for your own sake, do not enter your purposely ugly holiday gifts in the secret santa ceremony. It shows us all that you do not like your job, and do not like us. Be professional. | inkpotprinttrivet |
| 10-12-2008 | hey time to get drunk get laid maybe regret something get sacked and then get divorced yippeeeeeeee what a party | treehugger |
| 28-11-2008 | Really? The ones in our company only wanted to talk shop the entire evening, were completely t-total and as far as I can tell saw the men in the company as obstacles to their future success. Certainly never discovered any raving wotsits. Oh well, another christmas party to endure :( | Ray |
| 28-11-2008 | The Christmas party is literally that time of year when you discover that 75% of all the females in the office are raving nymphomaniacs. | Be of Good Cheer |
| 28-11-2008 | Never did like the office Christmas party either. A couple of hours hanging out with a bunch of boring gits from work you wouldn't give the time of day to normally. Who cares if it's free, I'd rather stay at home and watch telly | Ray |
| 30-10-2007 | The Office Christmas party, paid for largely by the company, is for the benefit of the bosses. Have you noticed how all they can think about is using the occasion for themselves.
The party gives them another opportunity or way of "Lording" it up over everyone. After all, as they are al...more | Sid |
| 04-9-2007 | This is so funny. Christmas used to be a time of good will and the office parties were part of that. I have also suffered at the hands of the office bore, been left with a feeling less than festive and just wishing I was anywhere else but with my workmates. With the company I work for the Christma...more | Mooch |
| 16-1-2006 | Naivity is attractive, only in the young and inexperienced, adults should know better, but then, a lot of adults don't read newspapers, or watch/listen to current affairs programmes, and therefore don't know what is going on in the world. These are the very people who live for entertainement...more | The Warden |
