Stupid managers make my job more difficult

Incompetent managers and leaders
They say it's tough at the top, but sometimes it is even tougher at the bottom. At least we understand how to follow simple instructions. Ever wonder how they made it to the top in the first place?

It doesn’t seem to matter how straightforward you make a process, or how foolproof you think the system you have developed is. There is always a manager out there who takes it upon themselves to throw a spanner in the works

| 09-4-2008 | I have had alot of Managers and I can confirm that 99% of those in that position only got their job because of who they know. Knowledge and skills do not come into it, in fact the thicker they are the more likely they will be to get the job. Big companies do not want people will a mind of their ow...more | Get in the real world. |
| 05-5-2007 | Well I do a skill position I have had managers who were given the part because they looked or acted the part, which is how most get that job in the first place. Then it is a toss up between capable and incapable of making the (right) decisions, many managers make decisions but I would guess only abo...more | Spikefish |
| 16-3-2007 | Sounds like the whole of the original griper's problem was a set of badly designed forms, forms which are incapable of capturing real-life data with all its imperfections and missing values.
If the original griper does not understand this, they will remain an inconsequential cog in someone el...more | Bayesian Analysis |
| 14-3-2007 | Amazing how every employee thinks his manager(s) are crap and they know the solution to everything. Original Poster - you're a data processor, for God's sake. the people you're criticising porbably have to deal with a wider variety of decisions and info in a day than you do in a year. | 08-9-2006 | I imagine that the people who are being asked to fill in the data can't really be bothered. In their minds I believe that they believe they've got loads more important things to do. Perhaps the best thing to do is to abandon it altogether. | Aardvark |

| 29-5-2006 | Many of them have benefitted from the modern idiocy of an idea that you don't need to know anything about a job to be able to manage it, or, of course the people who do it ! Problem is, most of the employees crawl around the "line manager" parasites, even when thy know they know nothi...more | THE ARGUIST |
| 09-3-2006 | The company that I work for employs managers that know nothing of the product we produce. They do love facts, figures and colourful graphs and charts though. But you know what they say about statistics...They are like a lampost to a drunken man, used more for support than enlightenment! | Bryster |
| 28-2-2006 | Tam Fitzsimmons is a Director for the last place I worked. We used to nickname him FUF (F - Up Fairy). The guy is dumb and just wants to fall out with everybody. He used to be in work twelve hours a day and expect the same from everyone else. He caused loads of excellent staff to leave due to his m...more | Tam getalife |

| 16-2-2006 | you have no idea the suffering of the avg. factory worker. When one is asked to place something in box- that is what you are to do. However, the act of "placing in a box" has become an art in which a degree is needed. For instance there is a "wrong" and "right" way to p...more | green |
