Waiting staff and poor service

Slow service at the restaurant

Slow resturant service

Are the waiting staff asleep in kitchen or something? I'd like to eat today and if they don't hurry up with my food then there's no way I'll be leaving a tip.

I hate waiting. I wouldn't call myself impatient, but it really winds me up when you have to wait 45 minutes to be served a first course at a restaurant.

20-11-2007Bob - Problem is, the guys and girls that work in the restaurants aren't paid enough to care. Would you on their wage? All they are doing is greasing their boss, keeping him nice n cosy. If you have a boss that cares about his staff, looks after them well enough, they move a little faster...moreMick
19-11-2007Restaurants with slow service should speed up the process to serve their customers so they don't wait a long period of time.Bob
22-8-2007I waited for 22 minutes (4 minutes in queue and 18 minutes waiting after giving my order) in McDonalds. All for regular fries and chicken burger without mayo! I didn't complain about the slow service one bit... What annoys me is when people come into my pharmacies and complain why their 10 it...moreSach the Boy
25-5-2007You go to a resteraunt for the atmoshphere and the pleasure of good communication with the people you dine with! If you're so impatient and want to order eat and leave within 5 minutes, I suggest you just go to McDonalds. You're the sort of person who orders a very well done steak then comp...moreyoyo
03-11-2006the longer it takes for the food the better it is. If it takes longer it is normally made by scratch. Maybe all chefs should just microwave food then you will only have to wait 2 minutes! It would be cheaper for the company, Easier for staff and from looking at this review it would improve custome...morea
31-8-2006Well if you don't like the British..get off our site! "co.uk" is a good clue. Get your own site and then you can be rude to your own people. My best friend is an American so I am relieved to know that you are not typical!Pensioner
16-4-2006I am a server and British people need to step off of their pedastals with Canadians and everyone else who has nothing better to do but think the US is second rate to their "Higher Society" of people. PISS OFF come in, shut up, eat your damn food and leave a decent tip, or don't show up...morePeoplewhodontknowshouldnttalk
24-3-2006Salty Server. If we didn't have wait forty five minutes for our food we might tip better. But if you get 10% everytime - think yourself lucky - you greedy b*****d!! PS. If you had more brains you would be in a better paid job (and be able to spell!!Bev

03-2-2006Some restaurants are just slow, you need to be patient and enjoy your food slowly. If the service is rubbish just leave a smaller tip, that's what I do. I hate waiting a long time for food too but at the end of the day sometimes these places get busy. Think about it this way. If it wasn't ...moreRestaurant Lover
01-10-2005If your in such a RUSH, Why not just get up and complain to the manager. Then walk out,and find another place, where you can stuff each course down and be finished inside an hour. Eating is a sociable time, I have taken over 4 hours once at a well known restaurant.A Pleasant Chap
