Gordon Brown Limited.  Everyday I see this mans face in the media and I always think what are we doing with this joke?  Seriously..  OK Tony Blair had his faults, but I was better off and never worried about my job, money, mortgage bills, that was never the case under Blair.  But now I seem to be very concerned about my future, and how I can pay the bills.

OK, the credit crunch is from the US housing industry, lending money to people that should not have received these loans.  Then of course oil prices go up to fill the gap and of course there's the Iraq war, but Gordon Brown was in charge of the UK purse strings for 11 years and not once planned for a credit crunch.

Also what about this whole 10p tax issue?  What I don't get is this, 'get children out of poverty' thing that he seems to bang on about, and yet he decides to abolish 10p tax?

Gordon Brown - 10p tax

Now on to the 42 day terror detention issue; he puts his time and effort into making this go through because apparently voters want it?  OK, if they do then why not spend time and energy in lowering fuel duty, because we DEFINITELY want that!  Then bring back 10p tax, or better still nobody pay tax on the first 10K of their earnings.  Such a bold move would pull a huge number of people out of poverty in one stroke!

I just don't get this man at all.  His opinion polls have slipped and when he stops speaking and does this irritating thing with his lip.  I kind of find that annoying for some reason...  He reminds me of one of those cocky math teachers that aren't all that good at teaching.  That's just my thoughts on Gordon Brown.

Anyway, Labour ministers close to him seem like him for a reason and I don't know why?  From day one when Gordon Brown took over from Tony Blair, this country has been nose diving into debt, anti-social behaviour and chasing laws through parliament that quite frankly are a joke.  I really wish MP's would pull there heads out of there Butts and start listening to the public for a change!

New Labour has left behind a landscape of toxic waste. Not for 100 years will this country recover. Roll on the next election so we can rid ourselves of this leech once and for all. Will a proper socialist party please make itself known.

Oh look - it's one law for politicians and another for the rest of us. Bloody disgrace if you ask me!

"No action will be taken over a £3,000 donation which Justice Secretary Jack Straw declared more than four years late, electoral officials have said. Mr Straw says he received the money from US firm Canatxx Gas Storage on 22 April 2004, the Electoral Commission said, but registered it in late 2008. Such donations are meant to be registered within 30 days. "

Let's hound out the war-profiteers, and prosecute them all. Trading internationally is equivalent to conducting an economic war. These scumbags have used our pensions, our national wealth, to line their pockets.

I'm fed up with this government and the idiots that work for it, that includes the civil servants. Their excess for only working the morning then off to the pub at lunch whereby the rest of the supposed working day would then be a right off is that they don't get paid very well....Thats easy Get a Job that pays you more that is if you can oh don't forget you"ll actually have to work a full day.

I'm with you Crunchie Bar. Yes, Maggie Thatcher encouraged "free enterprise" particularly of the free banking enterprise sort. And look where it has got us so far! Growth, if that's what you want to call it, has masked what it really is - DEBT and loads of it.
In terms of how far down the road we are with this mess today, as far as I'm concerned it's as if we have been sailing along and only hit the proverbial iceberg a few minutes ago.
It's what happens in the next few years though, try and tell me then that free enterprise was a sound (navigational) policy for progress. Free enterprise = greed + huge risk at the taxpayers expense. Greed needs controlling. If you want to pass the cost to the taxpayer you are obliged to at least ask us, will I say no? Take a wild guess.
I doubt if MikeP ever was actually in work during Maggie's administration. I was - it was not pleasant!

I think Labour has a point here.

Can you list a few names of non-white inventors and creators of this world we have come to know and live in? Start reeling them off.

Labour have this impression that they just toss it off all day and have a crippling fear of physical labour. I believe they are correct.

What abiout that police commissioner that spoke the truth? He stated that the majority of crimes are committed by blacks. You never saw or heard of him again. You can't appear on national TV and tell the truth.

Why is Labour so condesending to anyone who is not white skinned?

The publishing of this Bill to outlaw discrimination is their way of saying "We know you are not as clever as white people, but rather than expect you to learn and study, we are going to make it possible for you to get jobs by making it illegal for employers to employ a white person if there is an applicant for the job who is non-white."

I think this is an insult to people who are non-white, as it proved Labour considers them to be second-class citizres.

he non-sequiturs of pinhead MarkP: Most people who are rich work hard. It's that simple.

Wrong! Most people who are rich got richer still at the expense of everyone else in the economy. They do/did not work hard for their money.

People who work hard for zero reward often have no choice than to do this, the alternative being on the dole. How patronisng this pinhead is.

The fatcat city bonus culture with its phoney markets has dragged this nation to the brink of disaster. Millions will see the value of their pensions slashed nevewr to recover in their lifetime.

This nation has been run by a culture of the sale of junk bonds. Well they now have proved to be worthless.
