Oh no not another Talk Talk gripe - Oh yes it is! After 4 months of trying to chase up my modem,(free broadband is the bit that entices you to them).  I was told that actually it had not been ordered for me.

Well this was bad enough, but add on the dozens of calls to talk talk that either:-

a) Never got passed the automated answer voice saying that "all operators are busy right now - please try again later."

b) Got through to Delhi and they had no idea how to take my complaint to the next level

c) Getting cut off half way through a conversation that probably would have got no where anyway!

By dozens of calls, I sincerely mean dozens.  Today I got through and decided enough was enough.  I left my ISP and BT to save money, but I will welcome them back with open arms, they did nothing wrong really, I just tried to save a few quid that’s all.

In conclusion, Talk Talk provide the worst customer experience I have ever received and I’m sure that if I find the tonic that will give me infinite life it will not be beaten.  I will cancel my direct debit in the morning and will stand in court to defend myself rather than pay for a service I had no chance of ever getting.

If Talk Talk were to advertise based on how they actually perform, taking away all the spin and lies it would read “Talk Talk - probably the worst customer service in the world!”

Thank you - I feel far better.

In January was contacted by TalkTalk and was offered a fantastic deal everything for £18.49 a month I accepted 2 weeks later cotacted them they had no record of this deal. Took out another deal still good but not as good as first offer. Never received router in time for me to go live on 11th February, already a customer with line rental and caller display. I have finished up buying arouter on there suggestion and a promise of refund to my account.Every day I ring re caller display they lie to me telling me fault on line 3 to5 days later engineer rings no fault , have been told on 4 occasions it would be activated by midnight and nothing happens. How can we get these people to deliver the service we are paying for?

have taken out a contract with talktalk for £6.49 broadband and £11.25 line rental per month what a bargin, well it was for 2 months until they put it up 50p each a month. First call to bloody india I was told it was the vat increase even my bad maths 2.5% extra isn't £1.00 extra. Second email I will get a reply no, a phone call even better I thought wrong, I was told the increase was for a better service but I hadn't noticed anything different. also told they cant guarantee that they wouldn't do it again. REALLY MIFFED why take out an 18 months contact when talktalk do not stick with the terms you agreed to I have got a good mind to change to another company

I have not been connected to the internet for the 2nd week running, despite making several calls to bloody India, who are not only difficult to understand, they can't do anything anyway. One woman said she would put me through to their "2nd line technical support" as she couldn't do it (truth known, it was probably the woman sitting behind her) - however she couldn't even do that - she gave the the number to ring myself - when I did, an automated message came back that my number is not valid !!! so I suspect this so called number doesn't even exist !
My next move is to get in contact with the Ombundsman as talktalk are not really a valid business any longer !

I am so glad that I found this site and now don't feel so alone with the problems I have had with Talk Talk. I have been trying to cancel my line since Dec 09 and have just received a first bill from them that is double what it should have been. The problems with the company have made me ill and I am still recovering from an illness so not good. Anyone any idea how I can resolve this? I had the phone line in total for about 5 weeks (installed later than promised) and internet for about 12 days which was also late by about 3 weeks then the phone line didn't work. I have made over 20 calls to them and I'm getting no where with them. I too have been cut off mid conversation on about 5 occasions, transferred to wrong departments countless times, have been spoken to like some kind of idiot, spent hrs on the phone to them to then be told the system is down and to call back later but you just can't get through can you. Was told someone would call me back on 3 occasions and they never do. Help feel as if I'm going mad.

TALK TALK salesmen tell you lies!! Ihave just had a talk talk salesman encourage me to switch to them , he said it was a package which included broadband. I was clear in what I wanted, calller id, ex directory, witheld number etc. It was switched on 2nd October BUT no broadband and none of the other things either. I rang them and to my horror they could not do broadband unless I paid extra - not my idea of a bargain!!

So beware their salesmen - they lie !!!!!!!

otally Agree! Everyone I speke to is leaving Talk Talk. I have given up callig Talk Talk and am also changing. They have a very short future I'm afraid.Unless they address this..(their service) The blame for there collapse will sit at the door of there appauling lack of service.

I placed an order on 22nd of september and the advisor told me that i'll get phoneline and broadband in £17.74 per month, and I even asked him again that is that it I dont have to pay anything else, he checked my line and said yes u don't have to pay anything else per month.. and then after waiting for a month, and having not recieved anything for broadband, when I called them to enquire that wats goin on, they said that i've to pay £15 more per month inorder to get broadband.. and dat i've to stick to a 24months contract of landline. then when I looked at the letter dat they sent me, it was clearly mentioned there dat I can cancel my order anytime within 30days when my line goes active, so I called them and said I want to cancel my order.. as soon as the lady, in the cancellation dept, heard dat, she changed the whole thing and told me dat she can wave-off dat connection charge of £60 and also she reduced my contract to 12months and on top of dat she also reduced my package to line rental only wich is £11.25.. and she also told me dat if I order the broadband now I jst have to pay £15 for 4months and then i'll get free broadband, this kinda surprised me but I left my package to line rental only..
and after dat call I thought to place to broadband order again, so now whenever I call them it goes to sum F**** indian call centre, frum where they jst keep on bouncing here and there..

I just had another fruitless call to customer service following home move. Since I had to call customer service I never received the same answer twice for the dsame question like "will I still have unlimited broadband as I had before".
When the service works it's all right, but when you need to call customer service it's better banging head against the wall: it's more satisfying and better results...
