Oh no not another Talk Talk gripe - Oh yes it is! After 4 months of trying to chase up my modem,(free broadband is the bit that entices you to them).  I was told that actually it had not been ordered for me.

Well this was bad enough, but add on the dozens of calls to talk talk that either:-

a) Never got passed the automated answer voice saying that "all operators are busy right now - please try again later."

b) Got through to Delhi and they had no idea how to take my complaint to the next level

c) Getting cut off half way through a conversation that probably would have got no where anyway!

By dozens of calls, I sincerely mean dozens.  Today I got through and decided enough was enough.  I left my ISP and BT to save money, but I will welcome them back with open arms, they did nothing wrong really, I just tried to save a few quid that’s all.

In conclusion, Talk Talk provide the worst customer experience I have ever received and I’m sure that if I find the tonic that will give me infinite life it will not be beaten.  I will cancel my direct debit in the morning and will stand in court to defend myself rather than pay for a service I had no chance of ever getting.

If Talk Talk were to advertise based on how they actually perform, taking away all the spin and lies it would read “Talk Talk - probably the worst customer service in the world!”

Thank you - I feel far better.

When I switched to Talk I never thought that anyone could have so many problems,Problems that Talk Talk have never been able to correct Every time my house phone was used or we received a call, my internet crashed,For 14 months I complained but to no avail. They must be the worst company that I have ever dealt with I spent hours and hours on the phone, they sent me modems and filters time after time but still could not rectify the problem. When I tried to change my supplier and wanted my mac code they were really uncoperative. They have broken there agreement and have not supplied me with a service that was sold me .My advice to others is to stay clear of Talk Talk.

I Have had infrequent service with talk talk, over 18 months..no internet, cant receive or send emails etc etc.
Spent hours on the pnone trying to resolve it, and in the end, I became so stressed I waited for contract to end.
Rang and gave them 1 months notice, and followed it with a letter, and I recei.ved one in reply, saying I was changing phone companies.I thought this was the end of the matter, but have been bombarded with bills for an internet service I am not receiving, and they are now threatening me with bailiffs..they have billed me till end of may even though bt are providing my internet services!!!!
Have telephoned customer services, and sent letters registered post but no reply.I will go to court if necessary..this is appalling..stay clear of this company!!

've been a talktalk customer for a few years now, and signed over my telephone line to their total control.

Out of the blue I received a letter from talktalk claiming I wanted to change my provider. I called the number on the letter stating this was untrue and wished to remain with talktalk.
My telephone was disconnected on 18/12/07, after the initial letter I received no subsequent communication from talktalk.

BT now want £125 to get reconnected! I've complained by registered post to talktalk one month ago asking to be reconnected at no cost to myself one month ago and have had no response.

Stir clear of TalkTalk! Whatr appalling customer serivce! I had a terribly frustrating experience with them so much so that I can' teven hear the name without growling. I signed up for the "free" broadband as I was already a phone customer. I was charged for a modem which never arrived - twice. I decided to cancel the broadband and go back to the phone only. I was told I couldn't do that- I had to have broadband or nothing so I opted for nothing.( Blackkmail doesn't work with me!)But for the next 8 months I was charged for the phone services ( taken out of my bank account by direct debit) and they still had not refunded me the cost for the modem. This was after at least 5 phone calls, a letter that promised that they would refund me and then a final letter in which I threatened legal action. Horrible indifferent customer service- they really have no shame!

TalkTalk are , useless I waited 4.5 months to go live and have had nothing but problems ever since, 8 mb? I cannot even get 1.5mb,do you want to use the internet? forget it ,you will be constantly disconnected. If you have a problem you will be put through to a foreign call centre who you will not understand, and they no nothing about computers, {ask any computer technician, I did] they will blame everything from your phone line, your modem. your computer.and if you take their advice, they will mess up your computer, I had to pay a technician to repair mine which cost me £65.. you have been warned, this is not a gripe just a matter of fact, look elsewhere.. and the best of luck..P.S. the advertising standards authority should stop them from making these wild exaggerated clains.

a broad band provider never say's that we will give you 8mb 16mb and so on, what thay say is we will give you up to 2mb 4mb 8mb its not what thay give you its what your line can take hence the longer your fone line to your house the less speed you will get (if you drink a drink with a short straw it will go in your mouth faster than a long straw) windows vista is easy to sort out iv got talk talk and a vista computer you need to speek to tech surport oh and all broad band providers have to be set up manuly its a vista problem not a provider problem, oh and to that guy that said talk talk broad band broke my pc BB carnt break a pc your pc was falty from the shop, and yes I have had problems with them but what can you ask for. BT £17 free call's everning and weekend + up to 8mb broad band bout £20 = £37. free call everning free call's weekend free call's day time to land lines reduced rates to mobiles and internationl call's & free up to 8mb broad band for £21 a month!!!!!! even if you do have problems with the broad band your still quids in just look >>>(BT £444 12m Talk Talk £252 12m BT £666 18m Talk Talk £378 18m)<<< oh and the number for custermor sevrices is free from a talk talk fone (its on the bottom of your bill) all providers have problems its the old wires that go into your house so swaping will do you no good!!!!

Talk talk are horrendous, I too have had numerous problems. One being that every so often (well, very often) I have trouble receiving emails through outlook express. It is most frustrating, but when you phone them they just palm you off saying that they are experiencing problems and it will be sorted as soon as possible. My latest problem is that the network connection keeps dropping quite often. Such a poor service, plus the customer service and technical help don't seem to know anything, the last time I called Tech services, it was clear he was reading froma book and I was two steps ahead of him and it was only basic stuff - checking the internet settings.
Don't even get me started on changing over to Vista - do they even know what Vista is????????????? They told me it was the updated version of the installation disc I needed to reinstall my modem. New computer and two weeks later got new disc and guess what? Modem is not compatible! Very stressful, best to avoid if you're not already signed up.

talk talkk is purely rubish! we finally got connected and gues wot our borandband speed was meant to be 8mbps but was no more than 2.5!!!
also ever since the modem has been connected to my pc which is vista, it causes vista to malfunction after a while and dispalys a multicoloured screen where all you can do is shut down from the mains and swith on again.
If anyone ever want to ove to talk talk, please reconsider and think about the rubish service provided by them!!!

We chose talk talk because of their promise that everything would be so easy switching to them. Our phone line was changed no problem but we are now trying to connect our broadband which is a nightmare with talk talk. We have a computer which had windows vista built in and no one at talk talk seems to know how to connect the broadband using vista. So far we have spent a week trying to get answers but no one on their technical support team has been of any use at all.

In fairness up until now my service has been ok, but now it is running like an absolute dog. Below is the results I got when I ran the PCPITSTOP download speed test.
**********************
Download Bandwidth Test Results
Download speed: 63 kilobits per second

Test details: 171 kilobytes downloaded in 21.682 seconds.

Terrible, terrible. I have had problems most days of my 18 month contract. I have written to their online customers services and never received any replies. I always have trouble getting google because allegedly talk talk don't use high frequencies. My talk talk land line always drops calls, my emails go off line half way writing them. When I call their centre, I just have departments over in India, constantly transferring me but never with a result.

The service is appalling

I waited 3 months to get connected to talktalk, after only 3 months my modem failed and I have been waiting over a month for a new one, two have been sent to the wrong address and a 3rd had now been sent out (allegedly ) but has still not arrived, no one at talktalk seems to have a clue what is going on or seems prepared to accept responsibility for following things through, their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced, yesterday (19th Oct 2007) I was shouting at a talktalk customer service rep. as I had waited so long, and he replied that he could harldy hear me, what chance do we stand of getting any kind of half decent service when we appear to be dealing with a bunch of poorly trained people in Johannesbury and Mumbai. Absoloutely diabolical service!!!!!
