Society is going down the tubes
|
Maybe I'm just getting older, is it me or is society in general going down the tubes? I recent moved to Epsom, which WAS a nice place to live, or at least that is how I remembered it ten years ago. However it has now become infested with sub blue-collar single parent chav scum. I can only blame this on the near vicinity of council estates. The working classes seem to have vanished and have been replaced by socially retarded vermin-male and female inbred mutants who have no respect for themselves or their offspring. We are talking about the kind of (so called) women who are grand mothers at 20 years old and use McDonalds as a 24/7 crèche. Not that this is all the woman's fault (I use the term woman broadly) the ape like excuses for fathers are even further down the evolutionary chain. Where did this revolting, common, dole scrounging, obese, fag smoking, Trisha watching, walking talking human manure come from? |

Well the answer to this is of course their parents, who probably started breeding themselves when they were 13. They were encouraged to fail by their parents, who of course cannot and will not accept responsibility for their offspring and indeed why should they? This country is the only country in Europe to encourage failure and destroy personal ambition or self respect by engulfing these sub humans with BENEFITS. There are two types of single parents those that struggle and work hard in the face of hard economic reality and absent fathers, and then there is the other type; disgusting daytime telly watching, track suit wearing slag’s are out-breeding us all with their animal like offspring (I am now foaming at the mouth by the way!). Can't we just set up a Zoo for humans and put these people behind bars? Let’s face it; it’s a home from home for most of them. We could charge rich lard ass Americans to hunt them throughout the countryside as a form of pest control. Once they have been exterminated we could perform a similar tactical strike on certain religious communities. Just vote me for Fuhrer… (Sorry I meant prime minister). By:Geoff |

Just saying 'NO!' all the time is not a way to raise a child. Neither is just saying 'YES!'. You have to say no to things like drugs and alcohol and yes to responsibilities and respect for othes. However, everyone is encouraged by the media to drink for a good time, endulge in gossip and thrill seeking behaviour and get our own way. People who have sucess take drugs too- just look at alll the celebrities who have their nose worn away by cocaine- but get away with it and get attention from magazines, tv shows, ect.
There needs to be morals and standards for everyone. Not just those who can't afford to pay people to clean up their mess after them.

Ambition is of course great-however when added to what is clear to be a muddled mind, in addition to an inability to spell, or coherently illustrate a point of view, I rather fear the sum total of this girls life will result in having yet another child (on benefits) by another father...
Your comment about minimum entry standards to universities is interesting.
The UK now has 106 universities (or 115 depending on which source you believe).
When Congo received his education there were just 48. It could be argued that there have always been only only three or four worth considering but that would be perhaps a trifle unkind to some worthy but plebeian establishments.
I suspect 'fiona' is a product of one of the new establishments, created from the remains of former polytechnics, art or technical colleges and the like.
As to the £27,000 of debt, do you know how much you would be able to earn before you start paying any back? The threshold is £288 per week gross and then you repay 9% of earnings above that amount. So, if you earn £350 per week you pay back less than £6 per week. That's hardly crippling is it?
I am also curious, when I was younger nobody would have got accepted to uni without passing English O level, that is the standard I reached. Did you? If so why do you spell and punctuate so badly?
I know you will call me a rude snob, but if that's all you can come up with then don't bother!

There are not two types of single parents there are inumerable types and they all struggle, it is not an easy path, chosen or not. Everyone is an individual with their individual challenges based on opportunities, mistakes and general personal development. However it is always so much easier to stick people in a labelled box and chuck insults at them (see my first line).
None of your other comments give compelling reasons why children should be punished for what you feel is their parents' crimes by not getting a decent hot lunch or why you won't pay for your own children to get one as you seem to feel they are hard done by as they only eat sandwiches.
It is your choice to spend the money on other, less important, things.
You don't know many of the people you are talking about so much of what you say is supposition. Maybe you are right in what you say that the parents spend too much money on cigs and booze. Isn't that a good reason to make sure they at least get one good meal a day? They may perform better in school for it, especially if they don't get breakfast, and this may help them to break out of the jobless trap they may be heading for.
The parents are responsible for the children ( or should be), the children are not at fault for how their parents choose to live their lives and should not be punished for it.
Cheap, white, plastic sliced bread and mousetrap cheese is not much of a lunch. It really does not cost a lot more to make a basic hot meal with some decent food and vegetables in it.

Some of the children receiving free lunches may have parents in work but may qualify on grounds of low pay if they are on minimum wage.
As anon said, you choose to buy all sorts of treats for yourself instead of a hot lunch for your children. Why shouldn't the free lunch kids get a hot meal? Don't be so petty and mean; it might be the only decent meal they get all day.
The cooked lunch probably does not cost any more to produce than sandwiches as the council has considerable bulk buying power.
Whatever you may think of the parents, and you could be wrong in some of your assumptions, there is no need to make the children pay for their parents being either unemployed or low paid.

"WORST ever DISASTER has got to be QUICKQUID. You would have to be a bloody drug or alcohol addict to borrow from them.
They charge 2,278%APR. That means, if you borrow £10 over 3 years, you would repay a total of £134,473 over the three years on your £10 loan.
WARNING: DON'T GO THERE! They will take everything from you."
Maybe you should consider giving up some of these luxury items to provide your kids with a hot meal in the winter when they are at school
Just a thought.......
