Boy racers on our streets

I hate the boy racers that congregate in sanquhar - they are loud, selfish and a hazzard. an accident waiting to happen and universally annoying. people all over the town have complained ofr years about them but the police do nothing, they arent interested in moving these louts on but responsible people get pulled over for broken lights etc

What about the men AND women that are 35+ years old with speeding issues that are not really detected by your ears, doing 50 - 60 in 30 zones that you can't hear because of the standard exhausts?

boy racers are not harmless.In our area they speed make a lot of noise, and andanger the people living there. We have had a number of accidents in our street, as a result of speeding by these idiots. This is something we take very seriously and we do want to see real consequences for this idiot's behaviour.

I think that boy racers should be not aloud on the road because is too dangerous

Don't forget the GIRL racers, theres plenty of them about now and the number has been growing over the last 10 years or so, the so called "ladettes" have got the same cocky ideas about driving and social interaction as the young lads, and some of them can even be worse...

people wan to make money selling loud crap to kids, thats why they sell so many different phones that connect to social networking sites and personal digital music players and big car sound systems.....I feel bad for the kids with a 1.2 tiny car with biddy licke teeny weeny wheels and a furry dice, and a big fat 8 inch wide exhaust that looks like it belongs on the output stage of a Helicopter gas turbine engine.....sticking out the back and going bumbumbumbum broom brom bumbumbum- cost about £900 which could have been put towards a better car or saved for their other upgrades...a lot of the young ones want them but I was always in the opinion that they would draw attention and would put me off driving after a certain time of night due to this, that and the Police pulling you over for a shakedown because they felt like it as they didn't like the sound of your car...

Banloud exhausts - driving with a loud exhaust is nothing like running up to somone and screaming in their ear. Anyone willing to do that to me would wake up in hospital a few weeks later. If I were you, I would also stop causing CRIMINAL damage to other peoples property. That makes you worse.

It's only some teenagers that drive like morons. For every boy racer I see, I encounter fifty or more 30+ year old cocks that can't drive.

Most lads I see driving generally drive at or slightly under the speed limit. I find the whole ecxhaust scene amusing, not irritating.

I dont have a problem with 'boy racers' its a hobby, they enjoying modding ther cars I have more problems with older drivers between 40 and 50 with there fast expensive who are more prone to race about trust me I know many of them.

LOUD EXHAUSTS ARE OFFENSIVE - plain and simple

Would it be acceptable to run up to a stranger and SHOUT LOUDLY IN THEIR EAR ? NO..so why is this ?

do what me and my friends do...nip out at nite and shove any solid cylinder object roughly the diameter of the exhaust- 30cm long into the exhaust of the offender - 2 bananas works a treat.

a noisy neighbour in our area had to have his noisy suburu exhaust fitted 3 times , then he eventually caught on and got a normal exhaust.

man im 15 and im about to get my first car and all people can say is dont get a boy racer car. but you look at people in their 40's-60's and all you see is V6's V8's and other fast cars. So if an adult can hav a car that can go 250 kmh why cant we have a small car that cant even go over 160 kmh???
i know that you hate the sound but you cannot honestly say you have never been in a car that has gone over the speed limit....

I make myself comfortable in bed, close my eyes and soon fall into a deep peaceful sleep....................BRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMmmm.....I am suddenly disturbed, sit bolt right in bed and realise that my peace and quiet has been disturbed by "A moron boy-racer" in his immature car, reving up and down the road! And the only question that comes to mind every time this happens is.....WHY? What actual "genuine" purpose do these stupid exhausts actually have! We all have to abide by set speed limits by law so if it's to make the car go faster (which I'm sure it doesn't) what good is that when you can only ever go 30, 40, 50, 60 or at most 70 mph? As for the noise...does it make them feel cool? like a man? or is it simply a power trip?????
I personally think the government SHOULD ban the modification of cars! It simply serves NO purpose to stick a sewer pipe to the back of your car so as to sound like a cow being tortured!

Boy racers are nothing but pathetic and annoying they think they own the road but if they saw what speed can do in a accient they would think again and mosty of the crashes are caused by them thinkin they can own the road and if they had any sense they would learn that most of there insurances are VOILD, 100% of boy racers insurances are Voild.
